New Providence, NJ– NJ Sharing Network Foundation received a $5,000 donation from Brinton Eaton, wealth advisory firm in Madison, NJ for its upcoming Share NJ 5K Walk/Run on Sunday, June 12, in New Providence.
“We appreciate the support of Brinton Eaton and all of our corporate and community participants for this inaugural event. Our generous partners are helping us to provide services for families and to continue our life-saving mission,” said Elisse Glennon, Executive Director, NJ Sharing Network Foundation.
The Share NJ 5K Walk/Run will kick off at NJ Sharing Network’s Headquarters at 691 Central Avenue in New Providence. Transplant recipients, donor families, hospital professionals and corporate partners will come together to honor those who gave, celebrate those who received and give hope to those who continue to wait for an organ or tissue transplant. Music, refreshments and activities for all ages will be a part of the day’s events. According to Joseph Roth, president and chief executive officer of NJ Sharing Network, “More than 110,000 people nationwide, including nearly 5,000 NJ residents, are awaiting life-saving transplants. Sadly, 18 people die every day due to the lack of available donated organs. The Share NJ 5K Walk/Run will be an occasion to celebrate life, honor the legacy of those who gave the ultimate gift, and raise awareness of the importance of registering as an organ and tissue donor,” added Roth.
NJ Sharing Network is a non-profit, federally designated organization responsible for the recovery and placement of donated organs and tissue for New Jersey residents in need of life-saving transplants.
