Ellen Clawans Appointed Treasurer of the Education Foundation of Millburn-Short Hills

Madison, NJ – January 19, 2012 – Brinton Eaton, an SEC-registered investment advisory firm based in New Jersey, announced today that financial analyst Ellen Clawans, CFP®, CPA, has been appointed Treasurer of the Education Foundation of Millburn-Short Hills.  Her term will begin in September 2012.

“The Education Foundation of Millburn-Short Hills gratefully welcomes Ellen Clawans as our new volunteer Treasurer,” said Debbie Rieder, Co-President of the Foundation. “In her new role, Ellen will be responsible for preparing our financial statements; managing our banking; and advising us on matters involving insurance, budgeting and fundraising.  We are excited to have Ellen on our team.”

In addition to her work with the Foundation, Ellen is a member of the Financial Planning Association, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants. She holds a B.S. in accounting from Rutgers University.

Ellen resides in Millburn with her partner, Alan Kaplan, and her daughters, Alexis, 13, and Sydney, 11.
